Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd was 14 when she began to train in combat sports. Aspen Ladd was trained in kickboxing, BJJ, boxing and wrestling before making her professional debut at WCFC when she was 18. Ladd was able to take down three opponents in a row at Ultimate Reno Combat. All of the opponents she defeated had been defeated in the first five minutes. In WCFC Ladd was able to defeat Leslie Rodriguez with a unanimous decision. Aspen initially defeated Silvia Babyghian before going on to take on Maddy Simmons at WCFC 9 in which she took on Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia defeated Aspen in a unanimous vote. It left a blemish on her record as an amateur. Ladd recovered from the defeat, and won Roma Pawelek at Tuff-N-Uff to improve her record up to 8-1. Aspen turned professional in 2015, and was signed by Invicta FC to make her professional debut. The InvictaFC11 fight was her debut professional fight. She dominated Ana Carolina Vidal, securing a 1st-round TKO. Invicta Combat Championships 16, Aspen won the next match against Amanda Cooper through a second-round submission via armbar. Aspen employed her impressive wrestler skills to knock down McGill and ended her fight via the third round TKO(elbows and punches). Aspen was then in a fight with Jessica Hoy in Invicta FC 18, at catchweight (138.1lb) in the event that Ladd had missed weight. However, Aspen was able to take on Hoy. She finished her by KO in the 2nd round. The Invicta Fight Night 21 was her final bout in the organization. She defeated Sijara Ebanks in a unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd made her UFC debut in UFC Fight Night 118 against Lina Lansberg. She dominated Lina with a combination of ground and pound. She won the TKO round in the second. The next time she fought Tonya Evinger in UFC 229, her victory was even more stunning. Ladd took on Evinger with a punch during the first round and was awarded the performance of the night bonus. Invicta FC's Sijara Eubanks was her opponent for the rematch that took place at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. This was Ladd's debut major fight. Both fighters fought an intense fight which Ladd won by unanimous decision. Both fighters were awarded an award called the Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie defeated Ladd in just 16 seconds to end her losing streak. She bounced back and finished Yana Kunitskaya during the third round at UFC in ESPN 7. She faced Norma Dumont as a substitute for her fight last time with the UFC in UFC Fight Night 195. She lost the fight via unanimous decision.
